This highway is definitely one of my favorite drives in the entire State of Florida. The tree canopy on over half of the highway is just amazing to drive through, like a natural tunnel that goes on for miles. The highway also travels along the coast, and has some great views of the Atlantic Ocean over mostly undeveloped beachfront property. If you like great steaks or fresh grouper, be sure to check out Billy’s Tap Room & Grill on Granada Blvd. at the southern end of the corridor. The place is great and the food is amazing!

One of the most unique drives in the state of Florida. Where hardwood forest lead to freshwater wetlands, fish laden estuary, ancient sand dunes and finally the Atlantic Ocean all within a few miles of each other. It’s a photographer’s delight and a perfect place in winter to catch migrating birds. Tomoka State Park has a great camping area with eye catching vistas.
